    Newpoli Concert

    Newpoli is a Southern Italian Folk Music Ensemble. Founded in 2003, “Newpoli's music is an exciting journey through time, culture and musical styles. The South of Italy has a colorful past with influences from Africa, the Middle East and ancient Greece; all of these influences can be heard in traditional Southern Italian dance music and songs. Open to the Harvard community only. Funded by a grant from the Lauro De Bosis Committee.

    Julia Kristeva, born in Bulgaria, has lived and worked in France since 1966.  She is a writer, psychoanalyst, and Professor Emerita of the University of Paris 7-Diderot, and a member of the Psychoanalytic Society of Paris. She has received Honorary Doctorates from numerous universities in the United States, Canada, and Europe where she teaches regularly.
