# SPANISH 109 - Displacing Spain: Translating Transatlantic Poetry on 20th- and 21st-Century Spain Semester: Spring | Year offered: 2027 | Link: [Course Website](https://locator.tlt.harvard.edu/course/colgsas-127556/2026/spring/16251) We will read, listen to, and play with poems dealing with transatlantic perspectives on and from modern Spain. Close attention paid to the relation between poetry and identity, motherland, exile, and nomadism in Spanish and Latin American poets such as Bolaño, Cernuda, Darío, García Lorca, Neruda, Peri Rossi, and Vallejo, among others.
