Fine Arts Library Workshop

Interested in manuscripts? Or book history? Or the production of books?  If so, then this workshop is perfect for you! Giovanni Scorcioni, a specialist in facsimile editions of medieval manuscripts, will provide an overview about the history of facsimiles of manuscripts and their production, followed by a hands-on exercise on different methods of reproducing gold of illuminated manuscripts within the facsimiles.  The workshop will highlight a range of facsimiles from the Fine Arts Library's collection.
