Josefina Báez (La Romana, Dominican Republic/ New York) is a storyteller, performer and writer. She is the founder and director of Ay Ombe Theater (1986). She is the  author of Dominicanish (2000), Comrade Bliss Ain't Playing (2007), Levente No (2010) and the children's book My name is Marysol (2013).
