Incendies

Incendies is a modern tragedy by Wajdi Mouawad chronicling the journey of twins Jeanne and Simon as they attempt to unravel the mystery of their mother's life. Her death will set in motion a series of events that will take the twins to the Middle East in pursuit of the stifling truth of their tangled roots.

Wajdi Mouawad

Wajdi Mouawad is a Lebanese-Quebecois playwright, performer and director, who is a major figure of contemporary theatre. Using art as resistance to the devouring violence of history, his work offers a profound reflection on exile, collective memory and contacts between different cultures.
