Francophone Cultures in Cambridge and Beyond

The French 20 Intermediate French language course is centered on the new theme of “Francophone Cultures in Cambridge and Beyond.” This course incorporates engagement scholarship with local French-speaking immigrant communities. This semester French 20 students enjoyed multiple guests from local communities such as Senegalese drummers and dancers, Malick Ngom and Papa Sy. In addition, French 20 students choose a local Francophone cultural activity in which to participate, ranging from West African dance classes to intercultural exchanges with children of Haitian immigrants at the Everett Haitian Community Center.
