Aina Obis-Monné holds a PhD in Translation and Language Sciences from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. She earned her master’s degree in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the same university. She thought Catalan language, linguistics, teaching and learning communicative skills, and translation courses, among others, at the Pompeu Fabra University and the Barcelona University. She is a member of the research group GR@EL, in which she collaborates on the ECODAL project, focused on Discourse Competence Assessment in Plurilingual Adult Learners.

Research Interests 

Her research areas include Language Learning and Teaching Theories and Methodologies for Higher Education; Culture and Language Assessment; Discourse Markers; Sociolinguistics; Translation; and Cultural Competence.
