Research Interests: Theater, film and performance as they intersect with periods of economic and political crisis.

Other research interests include performance studies; literature and economics; Marxism and critical theory; labor and the arts; affect theory; site-specific performance; and media technologies.

My dissertation, “Staging Crisis: Financial Collapse and the Performance of Value in 21st Century Argentina” focuses on artistic production – theater, performance art, and visual media – in Argentina following the country's 2001 economic crisis. I argue that innovative performances simultaneously enacted the anxieties of financial collapse, while also appropriating the circumstances of crisis to invent aesthetic forms of survival and prosperity.
