De Bosis Fellow
Mimmo Cangiano received a Doctorate in Italian Studies from the University of Florence (2009), and a PhD in Romance Studies from Duke University (2015). He taught at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and he is now Lauro De Bosis Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University. His publications include the books L’Uno e il molteplice nel giovane Palazzeschi (1905-1915) (Florence: SEF 2011); La nascita del modernismo italiano. Filosofie della crisi, storia e letteratura (1903-1922) (Macerata: Quodlibet 2018), and The Wreckage of Philosophy. Carlo Michelstaedter and the Limits of Bourgeois Thought (Toronto: University of Toronto Press 2019). He has written articles on authors including Luigi Pirandello, Giovanni Boine, Ardengo Soffici, Guido Gozzano, Giuseppe Prezzolini, Natalia Ginzburg, Edoardo Sanguineti, Wu Ming, Antonio Gramsci, and Georg Lukacs. He is currently working on a book titled: "The Leftist Fascist: the Political Essays of Curzio Malaparte", and on a project tentatively titled "Comunità e atomizzazione. Cultura di destra europea e prima società di massa".
