RLL Funding Request Guidelines
In order to avoid deliberating on funding requests on a purely ad hoc basis, the executive committee will convene two times a semester to discuss funding requests for the Lincoln Fund. (The Bacon, De Bosis, and Smith funds are overseen by their respective committees.) Please submit funding requests (rationale, budget) to the chair for review by the executive committee, keeping in mind that the committee will be meeting at the following times each semester:
Fall Semester
Mid-September
Mid-November
Spring Semester
Mid-February
Mid-April
Requests are more likely to be granted if there are no conflicts with other, already scheduled departmental events. To facilitate scheduling events to avoid conflicts, a Google Doc has been created, and faculty can use the comment function to indicate that they would like to add a date to the calendar. The Google Doc will be checked on a daily basis and those with editing access (e.g. the chair, the staff) will edit the Google Doc based off the comments made by event organizers. If more than one person is trying to organize an event for the same date, the comment feature, which is timestamped, will allow for us to give priority to the person who commented first.
