In order to celebrate the new edition of the Poetic Works of Alvarenga Peixoto published by Harvard graduate student Caio Cesar Esteves de Souza, the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies will host a panel on 18th-century Brazilian History and Literature moderated by Bruno Carvalho.  Kenneth Maxwell, Júnia Ferreira Furtado, and Caio Cesar Esteves de Souza will join us as panelists. The event will be in English.
