The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures will pay tribute to the late Francisco Márquez Villanueva, Arthur Kingsley Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures, Emeritus, in a memorial service to be held on Friday, November 1^st, in the Memorial Church in Harvard Yard at 3:00 p.m., and a reception following in the Ticknor Lounge of Boylston Hall. On behalf of our colleagues, we invite you most warmly to join us for both events.  The memorial service will feature speakers particularly close to Paco Márquez’s intellectual, academic and human endeavors.  At the reception, we hope that others will share personal memories with his family, friends and discípulos. As we continue to take the measure of the great loss, to each of us and to our community, occasioned by his passing on June 14, 2013, we look forward to welcoming you in an afternoon of fond remembrance
